JOSEPH MOTTOLA

President & CEO

The oldest of seven children, Joseph V. Mottola, IV grew up in Southwest Philadelphia. He joined the Marine Corps at the age of 17 and specialized in Fire-Crash-Rescue/Sea- Air Rescue. Joe was the 50th Marine in his family … a proud line of tradition; and one that shaped who Joe was destined to be as a person later in life.

After Marine life, Joe’s life was devoted to education. He first attended the University of Miami to study chemistry and fire science and then schooled at Texas A&M to learn Wild Well Control School (oil well/ gas fire suppression). As Joe’s life-pattern dictated, fire was in his blood!

For many years after college life, Joe worked for the United States Government. While employed by the Department of Defense/Nuclear Defense Agency, Joe met and signed with Red Adair Company as a fire suppression specialist in oil well fire suppression. Joe spent years travelling the world - 34 countries – extinguishing oil well fires until, after sustaining a serious spinal injury (which crushed his 5th lumbar), Joe was forced into an early retirement.

Over the next several years, Joe invested his time into learning about sales and marketing through motivational courses and seminars. Joe credits much of his post-Marine motivation to individuals such as: Dale Carnegie, Zig Ziglar, Tom Hopkins, Napolean Hill, Norman Vincent Peele, Tony Robbins and Robert Schuller. Joe quickly applied his talents and newfound wealth of knowledge to improve sales production for many companies around the Tampa Bay Area. As a sales consultant to businesses ready to expand further, Joe’s formulas for increasing sales volume were sought after like the “Golden Goose.”

In the world of business, rarely does one meet an interesting person that has accomplished acts of patriotism and valor … but

Joe is definitely one of those people. Joe’s zeal and passion for what he does in his life might be considered matchless – and most people see that right away when they meet him. While – upon first meeting Joe – his dynamic personality may, literally, make your eyes bulge, you quickly appreciate his trait of being a straight-shooter. Joe usually only asks for 1% of your trust, the other 99% is collected not long after that. Joe’s has old-school ethics … right is right and wrong is wrong; gray is just a color in the crayon box. If something is not right, he feels it is his duty to inform you about it, and will give almost always has a fix to address it (this explains his persistence). It’s not hard to see why it would be easy to give him the 1% of trust he will ask you for …he has earned it. If you have any doubts, just GOOGLE his name. Interestingly enough, one of the things that will pop up on your website adventure to “Joedom” will be the fact that he was awarded a Presidential Commendation by President Jimmy Carter 1980 … and then again by President George W. Bush in 2004.

Ahhh yes … looking back into Joe’s history, people begin to understand the level of courage, loyalty, and integrity of his character. Joe never forgets his roots – or those who have supported him through his life and career. As such, Joe is a big advocate of giving back to the community. Often, Joe prioritizes the needs of others over his own. Joe is a very honest, generous and valuable leader in the business community – on both a professional and personal level. His dedication to those with whom he is involved is out of sincerity and honesty, which is an integral part of Joe’s character. The level of commitment and courage to do the right thing is what has made Joe a successful business man … and honorable person.
